One Hope Huntsville focuses on restoring these relationships through community events and Bible studies with a goal of making disciples who make disciples. Our leaders and members have deep and growing relationships with many ministries and non-profit oranizations in Huntsville, Walker County and surrounding areas. In fact, at least one person connected to our Covenant Fellowship family is involved with all of the organizations listed below. When you are looking for your place to serve in our community, please consider the groups listed below. 

Pray for our local outreach efforts and ministry/community partnerships:

  • Bearkat BSM (Baptist Student Ministry at SHSU): The goal of the Bearkat BSM is to engage students with the gospel, providing a place for students to find community and to grow deeper in their faith. We strive to develop Christian leaders that will have a lasting impact on god’s kingdom through discipleship, evangelism, and community service. 
  • Blast & Cast Men’s Ministries: Is a non-denominational Christian outreach ministry that utilizes the common bonds of hunting and fishing to reach outdoorsmen. As we commonly say, we are pointing outdoorsmen to the cross. 
  • Bridges to Life: A volunteer-led restorative justice program conducted in prisons and alternative facilities, utilizing a unique 14-week curriculum focused on victim impact.  A "project" is the BTL term for each incidence of our 14-week program in any facility. BTL typically conducts 200+ projects each year in prisons and alternative facilities throughout Texas, as well as 16 states and 7 countries.
  • The Gideons International: Is an Association of Christian business and professional men and their wives dedicated to telling people about Jesus through associating together for service, sharing personal testimony, and by providing Bibles and New Testaments. While we are often recognized for our work with hotels, we also place and distribute Scriptures in strategic locations so they are available to those who want them, as well as to those who may not know they need them. 
  • Good Shepherd Mission: Meets basic human needs through FEEDING, CLOTHING, SHELTERING, COUNSELING and changing lives for GOOD based upon New Testament teachings of Jesus Christ.
  • Hospitality House: Hospitality House stands tall as the only overnight inmate family facility within Texas that operates seven days a week. Since opening its doors in 1986, the House has become a vital link between Huntsville’s Texas Department of Criminal Justice inmates and their loved ones. Currently, the House welcomes families for visitations and executions in addition to releases, marriage seminars, hospice visits, and funerals.
  • Kairos of Texas: A Christian faith based ministry which addresses the spiritual needs of incarcerated men, women, youth, and their families. By sharing the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ, Kairos hopes to change hearts, transform lives and impact the world. 
  • Restore Texas Ministry: A Christ-centered trade school that equips committed men with another chance to live productive lives. Our mission is to restore men who struggle with addictions to a healthy addiction free life through teaching job skills, life skills, work ethic, and Christian education. We envision restored men who have learned to reject passivity, accept responsibility, lead courageously and invest eternally. Men who know the Lord and find satisfaction in Him. 
  • Veterans & Patriots United: A faith-based organization which exists to assist Veterans and First Responders to experience a life of significance in service to the greater community through the provision of short-term housing, development and execution of a success focused life plan created by individual situational assessment, professional counseling, and connectivity to others as expressed by Jesus in the scriptures of Acts 1:8 and Matthew 28:18-20. 
  • Bonnie’s House (Conroe): Provides a supportive, sober living environment to assist alcohol or drug addicted men gain sobriety, rebuild their lives, and reintegrate into society as productive and responsible men. 
  • Boys & Girls Club: Trained professional staff provide positive adult mentors and role models. Nationally recognized programs help young people succeed in school, stay healthy, learn important life skills, pursue interests in the arts and sports, and explore vocational choices. 
  • CASA of Walker, San Jacinto & Trinity CountiesProvides valuable volunteer advocacy for every abused child in this area. CASA volunteers serve as the “eyes and ears” for the judge in child welfare cases. This includes researching each child’s situation and making objective recommendations to help them reclaim their childhoods from abuse and neglect. CASA volunteers are frequently the only stable presence in these children’s lives as they navigate the foster care system. 
  • The Senior Center of Walker County: Provides home-delivered (Meals-on-Wheels) and so much more! We provide a great place for senior adults to gather to fellowship, have fun playing games like dominoes and bingo, and enjoy a fresh, hot lunch. We also provide transportation to medical/dental appointments, grocery shopping, and additional essential needs.
  • Time 2 Read: A Time 2 Read takes an active role in the development of children in our public schools through the presence of volunteers focused on literacy.Our volunteers serve for 1 hour a week during the school day supporting two 2nd-grade students, one each for 30 minutes using a simple sight word approach. We also provide books for the students to enhance literacy.
